About Dr. Dawkins, BSc, DVM
Dr. Dawkins wanted to become a veterinarian ever since she was three years old and quickly started dedicating her time volunteering at various zoos, animal hospitals and international medical/veterinary trips. She has traveled to Panama with “Volunteers Around the World” and Costa Rica with “VIDA: Veterinary Program” to aid in medical outreach.
She graduated from Stony Brook University and earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology w/ Specialization in Developmental Genetics. Her independent research on Zebu Conservation and Public Health from her travels to Madagascar was published shortly after. She hopes to one day return to continue Zebu and Lemur conservation in the far future.
Dr. Dawkins graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Completing an accelerated program.
She has experience in small animal medicine, exotics and zoo medicine. Certified in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, abdominal ultrasound and rigid & flexible endoscopy.
